She has been published in Harvard Business Review, The Wall St. Journal, Barrons, Woman’s World, Reader’s Digest, Saturday Evening Post, Better Homes and Gardens, First Magazine for Women, and legal and teacher publications. In addition, her work has appeared in two books, including Lawyers, Lawyers, Lawyers, Contemporary Books, 1994.

Kelly has worked with cartoonist Dave Carpenter for 17 years and has also written for Bob Vojtko, Harley Schwadron, Patrick Hardin, Mike Shapiro, and Chris Wildt, among others.

Kelly writes business, legal, family, and children’s cartoons. She also worked as a freelance copywriter for the former Peacock Papers. Kelly grew up as an Air Force brat and has lived in Guam. She is a single parent with a teenaged daughter (Madeline) and a teenaged son (Max), a dog named Rosie and a cat named Doodle. She is a CPA and has worked in the banking, nonprofit, hospitality, and brokerage industries, providing an abundance of material for cartoons over the years.
